Driving on Bredetved Strand .
The gravel road is narrow with poor visibility of adjacent paths and roads and therefore it is very important for safety reasons that the speed limit of max. 20km/h is observed 24/7 on the entire stretch. (as indicated by the signs)

In addition, the road is very dusty when driving too fast (to the great annoyance of the area)
Parking.
Parking is only allowed inside the property or on the private beach, i.e. parking is not allowed around the closed area. – see more parking info. below.
Doors.
To lock the front door and patio door to the fjord house, pull the handles up and note hold the handle up before turning the lock.
The key to the black garage on the beach is located together with the key to the front door.
Sleeping equipment.
Duvets, pillows, top and/or roll mattresses are on the various beds. However, those for the fireplace room sofa bed are in the bedroom closet. REMEMBER to bring your own sheets and covers for duvets and pillows.
Remember to bring your own
  • Towels
  • Tea towels and cloths
  • Bed linen. Please note that beds and sofa beds may not be used without sheets and covers for duvets and pillows. The dimensions are:
o All duvets: 140×200 cm.
o All pillows: 60×70 cm.
o Sheets for sleeping places in the Fjordhuset: Bedroom 140x200cm. Sofa bed in fireplace room 140x200cm. Bunk bed 90x200cm (2 pcs).
o Sheets for sleeping places in the Drawing Room: Sofa bed/daybed 150x200cm. Pull-out bed in bedroom 185x200cm. Loft 2 pcs. 165×80cm or one long if only one person is to sleep (mattresses in extension of each other, total length 330cm).
Operation of sofa beds
· In the Fireplace Room – from sofa to bed: Leave the grey cover on. Lift the seat up and push it well back until the backrest is fully down and you hear a click! Then put the seat down again and you have a flat sleeping surface. From bed to sofa: Lift the seat part up until you hear a click and the backrest follows you back. Then put the seat down again until the backrest is upright. Find a video on YouTube: IKEA – NYHAMN. Roll-up mattress, duvets and pillows are in the Fjordhuset bedroom.
  • Tegnestuens daybed – from sofa to bed: From the wall, lift the top mattress and flip it around and down onto the floor. Top and roll-up mattress, duvets and pillows are in the Tegnestuens bedroom.
    · In the Tegnestuens bedroom – from sofa to bed: Roll out the two modules under the bed. Make sure that the webbing latches inside the roll-up modules are turned out so that the modules cannot roll away from the fixed part of the bed. Use the two backrest mattresses as a mattress on top of the roll-up modules. Tip: Use the elastic bands on the roll-up mattress to hold the three mattresses together. A fitted sheet also works well – or a tight bed with a regular sheet. From bed to sofa: Fold in the slats, roll up the modules, and move the mattresses back as a backrest. Quilts, pillows, etc. can be stored in the roll-up modules.
Operating the dining table.
The Fjordhuset dining table can be extended with leaves at both ends, so there is plenty of room for everyone. To extend: Lift the top table top slightly and pull the leaf underneath out until it clicks into place – and vice versa if you want to make the table shorter again. Extra dining chairs are available in the bedroom with the bunk bed.
Internet/wi-fi.
The house has 4G/5G wireless internet. Network name: 20a. and you get the network code after booking.
The internet is usually working well. If there are problems with the network, restart it if necessary. the router by turning off the power for at least 10 seconds. The router is located in the entrance of Fjordhuset. Access with your own mobile internet usually works fine throughout the property.
Hot water.
The house’s water heater is located in one of the kitchen wall cabinets. We ask that you do not change the settings on the water heater without consulting the landlord. If you take long showers or several showers in quick succession, the water may eventually become cold. Be patient until the water heater is on again (the light on the water heater goes out)
Kitchen equipment.
The kitchen has the following electrical equipment: Fridge and freezer, stove, oven, extractor hood, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster, milk frother, hand blender and hand mixer. Please note that the microwave is behind a door in one of the cabinets under the kitchen table. In addition, there is service for at least 10 people and everything you need for cooking pots, pans, bowls, dishes, jugs, etc. Please note that the kitchen has plinth drawers, i.e. kitchen equipment can be in drawers all the way down to the floor. There is a hatch in the kitchen floor with stairs down to a small cellar. We recommend that you do not use the cellar due to the risk of falling in when the hatch is open. Serverin milk frother The instructions for use are in the blue kitchen cabinet on the right Kitchen oven. For example, select hot air by and turn the knob on the left side 1 time to the right. Then select the desired temperature on the knob on the right and wait approx. 5 seconds after which the oven starts. If the oven is childproof, you can remove (or activate) the childproof lock by holding the button with the key symbol down for 3-5 seconds

Electricity.
The electrical panel, fuses and various light bulbs are located in the Fireplace Room. If the power goes out in the entire house: Check the electrical panel to see if the house’s HFI relay is off. If so, turn it back on at the black switch. Otherwise, check the electrical panel to see if one of the fuses has blown. If so, change to a new one with the same A (amperes). Remember to turn off the fuse group or the entire electrical panel (at the HFI button) before you change a fuse.
Equipment for your own cleaning during your stay.
There is a floor mop and a vacuum cleaner in the Fjordhuset entrance cupboard. If necessary, new bags can be found there. There is an extra vacuum cleaner in the Drawing Room, at the bottom of the left cupboard. Upon arrival, there will be a limited amount of washing-up liquid, detergent, cleaning agent, etc. Please buy more when you need it.
The terrace / garden.
Here you will find various garden tables, benches and chairs, two parasols, two parasol bases on castors, two sun loungers, a barbecue and a barbecue starter. Various garden cushions are available in the drawer in the Fjordhuset’s “outdoor living room”. Mattresses for the sun loungers are available in the cushion box behind the platform where the sun loungers are located.
TV.
The property has two ‘smart’ LG TVs – one in the Fireplace Room and one in the Drawing Room. The property does not have a TV antenna. TV can be viewed via the internet (cast from your own mobile phone or via the house’s wifi).
Shopping.
There are many options in Holbæk with approx. 7 km for shopping on the main street and approx. 9 km to Holbæk Megacenter. The nearest supermarket is Rema 1000 at Halvmånen 61, approx. 3 km away. It is open every day from 7 am to 9 pm. Netto at Munkholmvej 141, approx. 4 km away, is open every day from 7 am to 10 pm.
Parties / loud music.
It is not allowed to hold parties and play loud music in the house. All outdoor music is strictly prohibited. The property is located in a natural area with a rich wildlife and birdlife, and it is recommended to generally limit noise.
Waste.
Ordinary garbage trucks are too large to drive in the area. There is therefore no requirement to sort waste. You are of course welcome to do so, but in that case you must hand in the sorted waste yourself at the recycling centre (Spånnebæk 34 in Holbæk, approx. 6 km away, open Mon-Fri 7am-5pm and Sat-Sun 9am-4pm) or in the city’s containers for glass, for example. Other waste is compressed as best as possible, packed in sealed garbage bags and placed in the waste container next to the driveway. If general kitchen waste cannot be placed in the waste container, it can be collected in a large garbage bag and placed in front of the container.
The Orangery.
The orangery with its plantings should be considered an outdoor area. In rainy weather, it can drip through the glass roof. If necessary, move a parasol inside the orangery if you want to stay there in rainy weather. Ventilation / regulation of the heat can be done by carefully pulling the chain that opens and closes some of the roof windows, as well as by keeping other windows and the double patio door open or closed. If you have open doors and windows, consider keeping the doors to the Fjord House and the Drawing Room closed. This will prevent birds from entering the houses. Do not pick or cut the plants. Plants and pots may be watered / given a short spray, but avoid flooding the orangery with water. An outdoor tap is located in the orangery and it is important to turn off the water at the tap itself.
The Beach.
You can swim directly from the private beach or from its bathing jetty. We recommend that you bring bathing shoes. On the beach there is a table and bench set for approx. 6 people, a parasol base and a fire pit. You can make your own twisted bread sticks from branches from the ground. Otherwise, see if there are any at the shelter. In the garage there is a parasol and an extra folding dining table for 4 people as well as a couple of sun loungers.
Bonfire on the beach.
There is a bonfire on the beach. For safety reasons, the bonfire must not be larger than it can safely be in the bonfire. Firewood can be found on the beach or around the property – or bring your own firewood. The bonfire must be under constant supervision. Extinguish the fire with water before leaving it.
Boats, kayaks, canoe and related equipment.
There is a rowing boat for 4-6 people on the beach (max. load 355 kg). The boat is a lightweight dinghy but weighs 98 kilos. Normally requires 2-3 people to launch. The boat can be pushed on rollers. There is also a small plastic rowing boat (8 feet) for 2-3 people (max. load 163 kg.). The boat weighs only 35 kg and is also suitable for children. In addition, there is a canoe for 3-4 people, a large sit-on-top kayak for 2 adults and 1 child (possibly 2 smaller children), a paddleboard (fixed model, not inflatable), and two kayaks (adult size). Oars, paddles and paddles hang from the ceiling in the garage. The oarlocks for the small dinghy are on the aluminum oars. To assemble, turn the oarlocks (including oars) half a turn in the holes on the boat and the oars are fixed. The anchor and oarlocks for the large dinghy are in the wooden box on the wall to the right just inside the garage. For safety reasons, take an extra oarlock with you on the trip. In the garage there is a small selection of life jackets in children’s and adult sizes. If you want to be sure of a specific size or design, bring your own life jacket. If you need more kayaks, e.g. a double kayak, this can be arranged by arrangement. Keep an eye on children if they go on the water without adults. You have to go some distance from the beach before the water gets deep, but still remember to be safe on the water. Note: All boats, kayaks, equipment, etc. must be put back in place before departure.
Fishing.
Bring your own fishing equipment.
Longer trips on the water.
See suggestions on www.ferievedfjorden.dk under “attractions”
Bicycles.
There are 1 women’s and 1 men’s bicycle in the garage. The keys are in the locks.
Pets.
Pets are allowed, but a maximum of 2 small dogs. (or by agreement) Please note that the property is not fenced. There are deer, hares and other game on the property, so keep a close eye on dogs in particular.
In the forests, etc., dogs must of course be kept on a leash.
Shelter.
In the backyard there is a shelter with a campfire site and an adjustable campfire grill. There are two mattresses in the shelter, if necessary, bring your own sleeping mats or similar if there are more of you. Firewood can be found around the grounds and the beach, or you can bring your own. There is a saw hanging in the opening for
Overnight stay in a tent.
The plot slopes, but you can pitch your own tent on the private beach where the ground is level.
Wood-burning stove/fireplace.
Unless otherwise agreed, the wood-burning stove and fireplace may not be used from June 1 to September 1.
The wood-burning stove has glass in the front and on the sides (Wiking Miro3).
During the season when the wood-burning stove can be used, firewood can be found in the woodshed behind the terrace to the south, or you can bring your own firewood. (The firewood must be completely dry and must not be collected from the ground, etc.)
– Lighting: Leave the door slightly open (small crack) and push the control lever under the door all the way to the left to open the air supply as much as possible.
– When the flames have a good grip on the wood, close the door and gradually push the lever to the right until a calm and even combustion is achieved.
When the stove is hot, the stove automatically controls the air supply, however, wind and weather can change quickly, so you have to regulate the air intake on the levers yourself.
When the ash drawer is full, pull out the drawer under the door and the ash can be thrown onto the fire place in front of the shelter

Find your way
From Munkholmvej, Bredetved Strand is a private gravel road that you follow for about 600 meters. First, the gravel road turns right and then sharply left and you are now down at Isefjorden – and then it’s only about 50 meters further on where you see a black carport on the left. Isefjorden and your beach can be seen on the other side.
Driveway / parking.
To the left of the black carport there is a short gravel road all the way up to the property where 2 cars can park. The driveway requires you to “have a little speed”. If you are unsure about the drive all the way up to the house, we recommend that you park your car below. There is plenty of space on the left side of the carport on the grass or by the carport – and it is also possible to park on the private beach. In total, there is room for 5 cars on the property.
Please note that parking is only allowed inside the property or on the private beach, i.e. parking is not allowed around the closed area.
Please remember the speed limit of max. 20km/h on the entire Bredetved Strand 24 hours a day.
